I had a vision of a train that was off the track and then another of a bicycle with its chain off the gear. They could still move forward, but with difficulty. I felt like the Lord was saying that there are some who feel like they are feeling off track. To remedy this the Lord is the one who has to fix this, lifting us back onto the path and getting us back in gear. We have no power to do this for ourselves. He has to do this for us and we just have to ask Him to pick us up like a child who reaches up to its parent to pick it up. No parent would deny its child and neither will He if we ask.

I was reminded of the scripture from Matthew 7 about the narrow way. Only He can guide us to the narrow way. He has chosen to help us find the narrow way and it’s only by His graciousness that we do at all and continue to be restored when we feel derailed.

Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. Matthew 7:13-14
